1 〔承諾〕

～する consent to…; agree to…; approve; 〔うなずく〕 nod approval.

●合点したか. Do you consent [agree, approve]? | No objection?

・おっと合点だ. All right. | O.K. | Sure!

2 〔納得〕 ＝がてん.

3 〔和歌などの評で秀歌につけた印〕 one of several conventional marks placed beside a poem to indicate its rating; a poem rating mark; 〔回状などで済み･承諾の意でつける印〕 a tick.

●合点を付ける put a mark beside 《a poem》; put a tick beside 《one's name》.
